Workforce Development

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Workforce Development Board is funded in part under the federal Workforce Investment Act (WIA). WIA was designed specifically to help meet the needs and challenges of our nation’s small employers, like yourself, by helping you find, train and hire skilled employees.  Small employers in Mecklenburg County can find help with workforce-related issues through their local JobLink Career Center.

The JobLink Career Center can provide the following services to businesses like yours at no cost:

  • Job Development
  • Job Listings
  • Wage Surveys
  • Employee Recruitment
  • Education and Training
  • Internet Employee Searches
  • Creation of Employee Handbooks

JobLink will help you assess your needs, develop a position description and determine an appropriate wage for hiring within your industry.  In addition, the resource center will screen resumes and potential candidates.  JobLink even has space available for you to conduct interviews.

For more information, please visit www.joblinkcenter.org.
